Describe one of the most surreal moments of your life?
"Watching smoke billow from the Twin Towers from the rear window of a NYC taxi on September 11, 2001. I was on my way to ABC studios to sit in on a taping of The View. Lisa Ling, a co-host at the time, had invited me. The night before, I had lived a childhood dream of watching Michael Jackson perform live at Madison Square Garden (the concert was taped for a CBS special). I remember thinking, unwarily, that a plane must have accidentally scraped the side of the building and that after the smoke cleared, all would be okay. I would learn in less than an hour later, after learning that The View taping and my lunch plans with Lisa were cancelled and as the towers crumbled to the ground, that the catastrophic event was no accident!"
